Free Etan Thomas

Anyone who thinks that the NBA is just a bunch of thugs wearing "prison garb"--like, say, David Stern and Phil Jackson--should read Etan Thomas' speech at the anti-war convention in DC on September 24. As a matter of fact, anyone should, regardless of what they think of the NBA.

This might be old news to most people out there, but I just read it today. Props to Etan for telling it like it is.

Yeah, I read a transcript of Etan's speech a day or two after he made it. Wanted to draft him on to my fantasy squad for no other reason than I dug it so much.

Speaking of which: What's up with the Libby and Greenspan avatars anyway? I play fantasy hoops and come to these sites to forget that I'm living in a country that's currently being run by such larcenous thugs (who hopefully will soon be wearing real "prison garb").

If I ever log on and find myself greeted by Karl "Turdblossom" Rove's mugshot, then I'm outta here, dude.

Ha. Good to know that people have been paying attention: part of the reason I do it is to see if anyone knows who the dudes are, or actually reads the site. Now I have proof. Part of the reason is to draw attention to clown them and draw attention to the vary larceny you're talking about. I try to keep the blog pretty apolitical, but it times like these, I enjoy the left's petty triumphs. No offense to the Republicans out there, but what should you care; you sleep on piles of oil money, right? I was going to use DeLay's mugshot, but that sonofabitch takes a real nice prison picture, don't he?
